We're gonna be grandparents again!! We are excited for Sarah and Courtney! We are especially excited for Keleigh, she is getting a little brother or sister! So much fun is in store for her! I think Sarah wants another girl, and I gotta say I bet Keleigh will love that too! She has Jordan who is like a big brother to her already so I think she is gonna love a sister :)

Cutter Lane Roberts has arrived!!!
October 13th we were blessed with the entrance of this little one he is our miracle baby, Jarrod and Heather have tried for near 12 years to have a little offspring all their own and finally when they were near hopeless he showed up on the scene! We are so blessed to have him in the family, and so very grateful that Jarrod and Heather have this little boy, we know he will be the love of their lives! He was a bit early but did so very well. Heather had an easy labor I think, it wasn't too long thank Heaven! Cutter weighed in at 7lb 5.9oz! He is such a cutie pie and we can't wait to meet him! Guess we are gonna make the trip the beginning of December since I have a ton of school work to do and little time to do it before graduation! But trust me there will be photos!

HeeHaw Farms with the grandchildren!
What a fun day we had with the grandkids, Sarah & Jennifer on Saturday at the HeeHaw Farms! We did the trick or treat hayride, then rode the saddle swings, the slide, the big swings, the peddle cars, went through the corn maze, now that was really an adventure! The kids had a ton of fun, Jada even caught the pig in the pig chase and won a prize! Went through the haunted house and rode the train. We then took a hayride to the pumpkin patch and the kids all picked out their pumpkin for Halloween! We had a great time!

Heading to Utah!
I just had to post because I'm so excited! We are going to Utah for a few days! :) We are heading down to our cabin in Bear Lake and I'm just tickled. We're gonna get to see Jennifer and Sarah and the grandbabies!! I can't wait! :)
Little Shop of Horrors!

We love the fact that here in Bend we get to experience much more of the arts than we did in Utah. There is always something going on here! Little Shop of Horrors is Chad's favorite of all time musicals! Well it is here now and we got to see it last night, it was great. The cast was wonderful, great, wow!

Cabin time!!!
We are heading up to our cabin in Bear Lake beginning of October, I'm really excited! I miss Utah and we haven't made too much use of the cabin lately and we need to as we aren't sure if it will remain in the family for too much longer. Life sure does have a way of changing, but sometimes it really is for the best :) We will miss cabin time, but it will force everyone to look for new adventures, and that's what it's all about...The Journey :) I'll post pics of our visit!
Graduation!!!

It's really gonna happen!! I'm gonna make it! Graduation Fall 2010!! I am so excited I've been able to secure every class I need for graduation, of course I have a ton of work to do! 20 hours is a lot, and it's a whole lot of writing! But I'm so stocked to be able to graduate finally! I'm gonna have a party!!
Chad is nervous cause it is a lot of work and I'll be crazy busy until December 9th but it is so gonna be worth it! I can't wait!

Labor Day Weekend!
We spent Labor Day weekend exploring a bit of beautiful Oregon! We went to Crater Lake and camped Saturday and Sunday nights, it was amazing! Chad had always wanted to see Crater Lake since a class way back when he was in college and the history of it really intrigued him. It was amazingly beautiful!
Next we went on to Belknap Hot Springs Resort now that was a beautiful place too! We spent time in the springs then took a long hike with Bella through all the gardens there and it was so pretty, we got lots of wonderful photos.
Bella loves to travel on the bike now which is good since we are doing a lot of exploring!
We played cards in the evening and in spite of Chad believing he is the king of gin rummy I won!!!! He might tell a different story but he's lying! :)

We LOVE Skype!!!
We would talk to Keleigh on the phone, well I would start but she would always ask for "PaPaw" within a few seconds so we would talk to her but it was hard for her because she couldn't see us! Skype is a great thing, we had not used it before last night but Sarah loaded it on her computer and we on ours so we could chat with Keleigh and she could see us talking to her, it was so funny! She was in shock when Sarah answered and we popped up on her computer! It was fun talking to her and being able to see her little face getting tickled! She kept wanting to see Bella even though when she was here to visit she didn't care much at all for Bella! Anyway Skype is free and wonderful to use when you are long distance from babies you can't visit often! Soon as Jennifer gets a camera we will use it to see the kiddos there too!
We have a new addition to our family!
Bella joined us July 23rd! We adopted her! She was waiting for us a the Loves Country Store truck stop in Ontario, OR. I should have posted early about our addition but just hadn't gotten around to it!
Bella is very rambunctious and we love her already. Chad is so good with her, we call her our baby we never got to have as we got together long after either of us wanted any more children considering we have 8 between us adding a 9th was just not something either of us wanted. But having Bella has proved we could have done it, she is like a baby for sure. She loves to be in our bed to cuddle, she is very demanding for attention, she has an attitude, see told ya she is like any of our kids!
She loves going on the motorcycle and she absolutely loves our camping trips! She even goes to the grocery store with Chad! He is so cute with her, it just warms my heart :)

Life is a Journey :) Enjoy!
This blog is to chronicle the new part of our journey, as we begin our adventures in Oregon. I thought this was an appropriate post!
LIFE IS A JOURNEY NOT A DESTINATION: Sometimes our journey is like a rollercoaster!
Sometimes it seems it's all uphill.
But a lot of the time we get to just enjoy the beach!
We're going to live by this and believe it! We are going to enjoy this part of our journey and look forward to the new things we'll get to experience on this part of our journey. Life is an adventure, enjoy!!

Motorcycle trip!
Chad picked me up at the airport in Portland and we took off on a motorcycle/camping trip. We took our motorcycle tent trailer and we had a wonderful time! It was nice to live primitively with my honey. We took in some beautiful scenery, cooked, played cards and other "stuff" and had a great time together. We have been so busy the past several months and I think we were a little out of touch, this trip was just the medicine we needed! We are planning a trip to Yosemite National Park in a few weeks! We are loving the camping thing! We loved our travel trailer but I think we like this tent trailer camping much better, maybe because the bike ride is so wonderful, you just see more of the beauty around you on a bike! I will create an album of the photos because we have like 400 of this trip and post it later!

School Days, School Days....almost over :)

I am taking 18 hours this semester and this will complete my bachelors degree! It will make our bike trips a little more trying but hey I'll have a degree before the end of the year! I got my associates in May 09 and I can't wait to have the bachelors! I was going to take 20 hours but decided I could do the technical writing class anytime and I didn't really need it for graduation, just thought it might come in handy at some point in my "career". I am excited to graduate (yep I'm walking) but I'm going to miss school I think, I may just take a class now and again, I really love learning a lot!
Washington to Oregon to Utah and back again :)
Yes we have realized a move is a good thing for us at this time in our lives. I have not been really happy about it because I don't want to leave my kids and grandkids but Chad really wants to give this a shot and I have to go along with it, I would rather be with him anywhere than without him in Utah! I love the man what can I say :)
Jennifer & Sarah have really been helping us out a lot with packing and loading up our stuff. They also took a lot of "things" off our hands! I did think that at some point I would get some of the things back like my dining set, my king headboard, my freezer but hey I'm thinking it's no big deal, it's just stuff and is probably a lot more needed right where it all ended up? So we got us a cute little dining set that fits perfectly in our place, and I'm thinking this simplifying is a really good thing.
Jennifer and Sarah took a trip to Washington to spend the weekend with Griffin and we met up with them there and did a little camping over the weekend. It was a good time! The kiddos liked it. Then I rode back with the girls to our house and they helped me with some unpacking and decorating which I was so thankful for. They stayed a couple days and I had a meeting with my professor in Utah so I rode back with them and stayed a week. Chad and Bella did some camping while I was away.
I'm likin it here in Bend!~
photos of our place and the weekend in Washington to come soon!

Sadness

It's hardest to be apart from family when there is sadness. Sarah recently found out she was pregnant, we were happy for her, Keleigh is going on 2 and she didn't want her kids to be too far apart, so although it wasn't expected or planned there was excitement over a new little life. The sadness happened when there was a loss of the pregnancy. She said it was hard but not as hard as if she had made plans, she only knew a short time but it was still a loss. I think it's the kind of loss that is hard to manage sometimes because you know you have loss but you never had real tangible evidence of the existence other than the little test which was positive. I'm sad for her and it's just hard to think about what might have been. Jennifer lost a baby before Jordan and she was much farther along and we knew it was a boy so it was a harder loss but still I wonder what those grandbabies would have been like. I know we will meet them someday and we will get to experience the joy of their life then.

We are blessed...

I was just thinking about the blessings in life. The economy has been hard on many, us included. However when I think about it we are very lucky in some ways. We were able to sell our house at a profit from the purchase price seven years ago! We actually experienced a gain on our appraisal from the appraisal when we bought it. So we were actually lucky because many people are having issues selling because they are upside down in their homes or there is no equity because of the housing bust. We were blessed and we made some money, which is a blessing because we have had employment issues, so all in all Heavenly Father is really looking out for us! Plus we have wonderful family looking out for us too! Chad has wonderful siblings who really care about us and are there for us, we are actually living in a house which Chad's brother owns right now until we figure out what to do and Chad is going into business with this same brother. We hope to build a house here or buy one at a cheap price and fix it up (there are lots of those around!)
